Gear

I used to have a Canon Powershot G10 which I purchased via the Canon Loyalty Upgrade Program but sold it on Craigslist. I replaced it with a Canon XSi, my first DSLR but eventually sold it as well. I then purchased a Sony NEX-3, which was a great mirror-less camera, but the E-mount lenses were a bit pricey and the selection was limited at the time. I switched to a Sony Alpha SLT-A57, which I got at a discount from a friend who worked at Sony. Then we had kids, and I decided to switch to a smaller/lighter camera. I’m currently using an Olympus OM-D E-M10 micro four-thirds camera.

Prior to buying the Canon XSi, I never owned a camera. I just borrowed my girlfriend’s (now wife) Canon Powershot SD790 IS and her Apple iPhone to take photos. I upgraded my wife to a Canon Powershot S95. I also borrowed a friend’s Canon EOS 10D digital SLR for a trip I took to Europe.

I used to carry my camera gear in a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home bag but sold it on Craigslist once I switched to the smaller micro four-thirds Olympus camera. I am now using a LowePro Passport Messenger Shoulder Bag.
